Monitoring and Quality

Within the Home, there are various systems which ensure that close monitoring is maintained on all of the Home's services and facilities. Attention to the smallest detail is pivotal to everything that we do.
An important part of our quality programme is to involve the Service Users and their relatives who also take into account advice/ recommendations from service reviews/ inspection of ou services and internal audits. We regularly seek comment on the services we provide. We also annuallly circulate a Service User questionnaire, which assists in assuring that we continue to provide a quality service.
All Service Users are subject to medical reviews, care reviews which are incorporated in out quality management plan.
We have agreed service contract four our Gas and Electrical appliances, fire equipment, pest control, external audit of medicines by independent pharmacist and are subject to statutory inspection for food hygiene, health and safety and fire regulations.
We also have advocacy staff from independent mental capacity advocate team (IMCA) that visit the Home regularly and act on your behalf of service users especially those who do no have capacity on a range of personall issues.
We intend to have a relative's forum every 3 months where relatives have the opportunity to discuss various issues about the quality and level of services being provided in the Home and assist us to improve our services, service plans and priorities. The home is also subject to service reviews by social services and Primary Care Trust. We have also commissioned independent inspection by a management consultant with significant experience in nursing inspection/ regulation.
