Complaints

If as a Service User, relative or visitor feels that there is cause for concern/ complaint, they should first discuss the matter with the person in charge. If they remain dissatisfied, the Nurse in charge will record the complaint in the Complaints Register and the Registered Manager will be notified of your complaint. A full investigation will be made into the complaint, and they will be advised of the outcome within 28 days after the date the complaint is made. At any time, the Service User/ relative can contact the Care Quality Commission (Tel 03000616161) or local Social Services Department (01604237666). In the case of alleged abuse, contact should be made to the Adult Safeguarding team (01933201064) as indicated in the Abuse Policy or if there is possiible deprivation of liberties, then the DOLS Team must be contacted for guidance (Tel 01933220728). If after our investigation, they are still not satisfied, or if they feel that the complaint is of a serious nature they are advised to speak to officers of the Care Quality Commission or local Social Services Department or the Safeguarding Team or the local Government Ombudsman.
