Service Philosophy Foxhill manor provides nursing care and treatment based on individual needs of residents with respect for privacy and dignity.
The home aims to provide services meeting the range of needs of the residents in the nursing home. The type of service provided demands skilled nursing care supported by other professionals, i.e. occupational therapy, physiotherapy, chiropody, speech therapy, General Practitioners, General Consultant Psychiatrists and General Community Health Services.
Services The following services are provided:
Hairdressing Fortnightly Chiropody Every 3 months and when necessary Optician As and when required with regular check-ups Dentist As and when required Laundry Daily Church Service Monthly Physiotherapist As and when necessary
Medical Care Local GP's visit weekly and consultant psychiatrists, when necessary.
Visiting There is no restriction on visiting. Relatives are encouraged to participate in the care programme of individual patients.
Possessions Residents are encouraged to bring articles of sentimental value on admission, e.g. pictures, photographs and small ornaments. If residents wish to bring items of furniture this can be arranged with Matron. Social/Diversional Programme Residents and non-residents participate in a wide range of social and diversional activities, including day trips, visits to local amenities and other activities of therapeutic nature.
Residential fees can be paid privately or alternatively a resident may be funded by a Social Services/Department of Social Security grant, dependent on assessment.
